2026 Horse Racing Season Update
SunRay Park & Casino is proud to confirm that live horse racing will continue in Farmington for the 2026 season. The New Mexico Racing Commission has officially approved our 2026 Racing License and Simulcast License, authorizing live and simulcast racing at SunRay Park Racetrack.
Live Racing Dates:
April 17 – May 24, 2026
(Racing weekends: April 17–19, 24–26 and May 1–3, 8–10, 15–17, 22–24)
Simulcast Racing License:
Valid January 1 – December 31, 2026
While the Commission continues its review of a proposed relocation plan,
nothing changes for 2026.
Live racing, wagering, and the tradition of
SunRay Park will continue as planned in Farmington.
Both licenses were issued on
June 26, 2025 by the
State of New Mexico Racing Commission.
